How the 12 times table works
Multiplying by 12 means adding 12 to itself a certain number of times. For example, 12 × 3 means 12 added together 3 times. Once you know a few key facts - like ×1, ×2, ×5, and ×10 - the rest of the 12 times table becomes much easier to work out.
