Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information Multiplication Table ("we", "us") collects when students, parents, and teachers use our times-table practice platform, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, role (student, parent, or teacher), and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
Practice data: the multiplication tables practiced, answers submitted, accuracy, speed, streaks, and badges earned.
Class information: for teacher accounts, the classes created and the students associated with them.
Technical information: device and browser type, and basic usage logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How We Use Information
To provide the core service: running practice sessions, tracking progress, and awarding achievements.
To let parents and teachers view the progress of the students linked to their account.
To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student practice data for advertising.
4. Children's Privacy
Multiplication Table is designed for use by students, including children under 13, typically through an account created or supervised by a parent or teacher.
We collect only the information necessary to provide the practice and progress-tracking features described above, and we rely on parental or school consent where required by applicable law (such as COPPA in the United States).
Parents and teachers can contact us at any time to review, update, or request deletion of a student account.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries needed to run the site - for example, remembering your chosen language. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
We may share information with service providers who help us run the platform (such as hosting providers), under obligations to keep it confidential and secure.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the platform.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures - including password hashing and access controls - to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
8. Your Rights & Choices
You can review and update your account information at any time from your profile settings.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify users.
