How the 10 times table works
Multiplying by 10 means adding 10 to itself a certain number of times. For example, 10 × 3 means 10 added together 3 times. Once you know a few key facts - like ×1, ×2, ×5, and ×10 - the rest of the 10 times table becomes much easier to work out.
